Besides having research and development facilities in the Technical University of
Budapest, MBE has a specialized Laboratory in the Corporate Office. In this laboratory the
physical and chemical properties of different types of powdered materials in dry form as
well as slurry form can be tested.
This Laboratory has a special instrument namely Rheometer of Brookfield make which is
used to predict the behavior of non-newtonian type fluid in two phase - viscous flow
application. This Rheometer provides automically the nature of the fluid in terms of
yields stress, shear stress; shear strain etc. in graphical mode in computer, which is
further used to design the process plant for high concentration slurry disposal system.
This is one of a few installations in India having such facilities.
