MBE stepped into the Business segment of Surface Mining Equipment and Stockyard equipment from the mid 90’s in association with Poltegor Engineering Ltd Poland and into the segment of Port and yard cranes as a part of the ongoing diversification Process. Subsequently in January 2009, MBE signed a comprehensive License agreement with Kone Cranes Heavy Lifting Corporation, Finland for manufacturing Port and Yard Cranes In India under License From Kone Cranes. MBE has achieved a series of significant milestones by manufacturing and installing some of the Best Performing state of the art Surface Mining Equipment, Stockyard Equipment, Port and Yard Cranes for Indian Open Cast Mines, Major and Minor Ports and Shipyards and other core sectors.

MBE’S Credential for Port Yard Cranes and Stockyard Machineries

• From 2000 to 2004 in two phases MBE installed eight 750 TPH average throughput Rail Mounted Grab Unloaders for Mormugao Port Trust.

• In 2003 MBE Successfully installed two 16 tonne and three 25 tonne Electrical Level Luffing Cranes in Kandla Port Trust, India which incidentally are unique cranes equipped with latest Technology and were manufactured under License from Kone Cranes.

• In 2005 MBE successfully manufactured and installed at Cochin Shipyard, India’s largest Goliath Crane with 300 tonne lifting capacity having 95 meter span, under License from Kone Cranes.

• In 2005 and 2006, MBE manufactured and installed India’s first indigenously built, Panamax Type Rail Mounted quay Cranes (two) for Container Handling in Haldia Dock Complex under License From Kone cranes.

• MBE at present is executing two prestigious contracts for one number 300 tonne Goliath Crane with 138 meter span and one 250 ton Goliath Crane with 116 meter span for Mazagaon Dock Ltd and Garden Reach Shipbuilding & Engineering Ltd respectively.

• MBE manufactured and installed one number 3000 / 3000 tph Stacker Cum Reclaimer in 2008 at Paradip Port Trust. The Contract was executed in collaboration with Poltegor Engineering Ltd Poland .

• MBE also successfully commissioned two numbers 3000 / 1500 tph Stacker Cum Reclaimers for Neyveli Lignite Corporation through Mecon, Ranchi in 2008.

• MBE Presently is executing one of India’s largest Stacker Cum Reclaimer( four numbers 6000 / 2500 tph capacity) for coal handling for Mundra Port SEZ Limited .

MBE ventured into Open Cast Mining Machinery and has supplied heavy duty machines of capacities that were hitherto not built by any Indian company. Prestigious orders from Neyveli Lignite Corporation saw MBE manufacturing the following :

• Bucket Wheel Excavator of 700 Ltr. Capacity, weight 1600 MT working satisfactorily with an output of 3400M³/hr (7100 TPH Overburden).

• Spreader of 4420 M³/hr capacity having weight of 987 MT working satisfactorily with an output of 9280 TPH Overburden.

• Shiftable Conveyor of 20,000 TPH capacity with 2400 mm wide belt having drive of 6 x 1250KW, the highest capacity conveyor ever built in the country.
